Nancy Dube-Guarino, 65, of Nottingham died April 19, 2006 at Kindred Hospital in Peabody, MA following a brief illness. Nancy was born on April 8, 1941 in Nashua, daughter of the late Willie and Alida (St. Pierre) Blais. She attended St. Louis de Gonzague High School in Nashua and later went on to receive her bachelors degree in business. Nancy was an experienced accountant working for many years in the Boston area. She enjoyed traveling to Canada to see her family as well as visiting lighthouses along the eastern seacoast. Although legally blind, Nancy did not allow her disability to handicap her in any way. She leaves behind family treasures, the many beautiful blankets, which she knitted and crocheted. She had a talent for crafts as well as spent countless hours creating beautiful family collages. Her favorite holiday was Christmas in July which was a family tradition. She was a dedicated grandmother and thoughtful woman who put others needs in front of her own. Nancys husband, Michael Guarino, predeceased her in December, just four months ago. Family members include; a loving daughter, Kathy Persall of Amherst; brother, Norman W. Blais Sr. and his wife, Denise of Nottingham; step-daughter, Melody Thomson and her husband, Ken of North Smithfield, RI; step-sons, Michael Guarino of Malden, MA, Max Guarino and his wife, Lisa of Pawtucket, RI and Sean Guarino of Malden, MA; 7 grandchildren, Angela, Christopher, Kaylin, Colin, Rebecca, Emily and Amanda; two nephews and one niece. There will be a Memorial Reception on Sunday, April 30th from 1:00 until 2:00 PM to with a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress Street, Boston, MA 02210.
