Nancy Kline
Hansen
Aug 23, 1989 — Jul 28, 2026
Lebanon, NH
Nancy Kline Hansen, 86, passed away at the Lebanon Genesis center on July 28, 2026, after a brief illness, with her daughter Heidi by her side.
She was born on August 23, 1939, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Alison and Louise Kline. Nancy served her country proudly in the United States Navy, a chapter of her life she carried with dignity.
In her younger years she pursued tap dancing, vocal performance, and violin — she was very proud to have been the second violinist in the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. She had a deep love of country music, and the voice of Johnny Cash was never far away.
Over the course of her life Nancy held a variety of positions, including service with the State of New Hampshire, and the city of Anchorage, Alaska.
Nancy had a huge love for rescue dogs. She had a very special fondness for "the boys", her son Roberts two dogs whom she loved to visit!
A special mention belongs to Macho, (aka Machie), her daughter Heidi's Chihuahua, who had a gift for knowing where he was needed most. Without fail, whenever Nancy came to visit,
Macho would settle in beside her and stay for the duration — a small but steadfast presence that brought her no small amount of joy. He would often be found visiting her at the nursing home as well.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses: Chris Hansen and his wife Lucy of Elkins, NH; Karen Keyser and her husband Paul of Moultonborough, NH; Robert Hansen and his wife Veda of Hillsboro, NH; and Heidi Carnevale and her husband Paul of Newport, NH. She also leaves behind her very special friend Carol Trott of Hillsboro, NH as well as nieces and nephews. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward.
Nancy was predeceased by her husband Robert Hansen, her parents Alison and Louise Kline, her sister Alice Walker, and her granddaughter Maria Carnevale.
A graveside service will be held privately, at the discretion of the family.
Assisting with arrangements is the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, Boscawen. To view Nancy's online tribute, send condolences to her family, or for more information, visit www.csnh.com
