Nancy (Turgeon) Keyes peacefully passed away on June 30, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a cherished member of the community.
Nancy earned her nursing degree from the Hartford School of Nursing and went on to dedicate over 40 years to the healthcare profession that she loved. Her career spanned many roles, included a neonatal care unit in Sarasota, Florida—work she found especially meaningful. She served as the Director of the Tamworth Community Nurse Association for over a decade, before becoming the Clinical Director of the Heritage Hospice program in the Lakes Region area. After earning her master’s degree in education, she was the school nurse for Conway Elementary. She concluded her remarkable career as a Risk Management Administrator for Huggins Hospital. Nancy’s dedication towards the nursing profession earned her an appointment to the state of New Hampshire’s Governor’s Board of Children and Youth.
Beyond her professional career, Nancy was deeply devoted to community service where she touched many lives. She was an active member of both the Conway Village Congregational Church in Conway, New Hampshire, and the Parrish United Methodist Church in Parrish, Florida; where she held numerous roles including a Sunday school superintendent, youth group director, church clerk, and outreach coordinator.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, George Bill Keyes of Tamworth, New Hampshire, and her three children with former spouse Brian Wiggin, all of whom she cherished deeply, Chris Wiggin and wife Janelle of Humble, Texas, Ben Wiggin and wife Erin of Center Conway, New Hampshire, and Josh Wiggin and husband Dallas Magner of Center Harbor, New Hampshire.
She was a proud and loving grandmother to Mackenzie, Kamdyn, Alyson, Connor, and Lydia Wiggin. She also treasured her extended family: Shauna Bartlett and husband Tyler of Rollingsford, New Hampshire, and their children Matthew Flagg, Jackson Flagg, and Wyatt Bartlett; Beth Larner and husband Ricky of Wells, Maine; Jon Keyes and wife Lane of West Newbury, Massachusetts, and their children Max and Meadow; and Bill Keyes and wife Alicia of Raymond, New Hampshire and their children, Hunter, and Connor. Nancy’s niece and nephews include Mike Poutre and his late wife, Tina, Michelle Phillips and her husband, Chris, and their son Joey, David Cook and his wife Sarah, Tamara Cummings and her husband Steven, and Ariel Wiggin.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Mary, and Rev. Adelor Turgeon Jr.; and her sister, Linda Poutre, all of Bradenton, Florida.
A graveside service celebrating Nancy’s life will be held on a future date at the Conway Cemetery in Conway Village. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Conway Area Humane Society in her memory. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Littleton.
