Nancy C. Letendre

Nancy Catherine (Bagwell) Letendre, 78, of Manchester, NH passed peacefully after a brief illness on May 22, 2023 surrounded by her loving family in her home of 47 years. She was born in Manchester, NH on March 26, 1945, the youngest daughter of James and Margaret (King) Bagwell.

Nancy was the beloved wife of Mark Letendre. They were married on June 28, 1969 and enjoyed 53 happy years together. Nancy was the loving mother of Amy Villeneuve of Bow, NH and Susan Letendre of Manchester, NH. She also had many fur baby grandchildren that she spoiled and adored.

After graduating from St. Joseph High School for Girls, Nancy earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Keene State College. She then taught fourth grade at Jewett Street School for more than 35 years. She was dedicated to her students and their futures, making many positive impacts upon their lives that they have shared with her and her family. Nancy cherished the friendships she had with her fellow staff members. Upon retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, attending concerts and making memories her family will always hold dear.

Family was the light of Nancy’s life, and she generously and loyally shared her love with each of them. In addition to her husband and daughters, Nancy’s family members include son-in-law, Eric Villeneuve; nieces, Kathleen Rioux, Kerry Ginnard, Maureen Murphy and Patricia Moriarty; nephews, James Rioux and Raymond Demers; great-nieces, Kristen Aubin and Sarah Shiels; and great-nephews, Shane Murphy, John Ginnard, Brian Murphy and Seamus Rioux. Nancy was predeceased by her sisters, Dolores Rioux and Joan Moriarty, and her great-nephew, Thomas Rioux.
