Nancy Jean Merrick

Nancy J. Merrick, 61, of Nashua died at home on January 4, 2003 following a lengthy bout with pancreatic cancer. She was born on June 18, 1941 in Burlington, Vermont the daughter of the late Arnold Hogan and Bernadette (Denno) Hogan. Nancy was a member of several support groups including the Living with Cancer and Chronic Pain Support Groups both at the Elliot Hospital. Also instrumental in her life was the Positive Thinking Support Group which she belonged to at Lowell General Hospital. Nancy enjoyed playing bingo and traveling. She loved making silk flower arrangements and doing ceramics. Family members include; three daughters, Debra Beauregard of Houston, TX, Tammy New of Fitchburg, MA and Amy Spencer of Hooksett, NH; her mother, Bernadette Hogan of Milton, Vermont; five grandchildren, Justin and Danielle Beauregard, Alexa and Haley New and Aidan Spencer; two brothers, Arnold "Tom" Hogan of Greeneville, TN and James Hogan of Milton, VT; three sisters, Joyce Saylor of Greeneville, TN, June Letourneau of Essex Junction, VT and Barbara Lefebvre of Burlington, VT; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Jennings. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 11th at 1:00 PM at Elliot Hospital Chapel, One Elliot Way in Manchester.
