Nancy Smith Slone

Nancy Smith Slone, a beloved mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2024, at her home in Haverhill, NH. Born on December 12, 1948, Nancy lived a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to her family.

Nancy's warm and nurturing personality touched the lives of all who knew her. She had many passions in life and found solace in the simple joys. Gardening was one of her favorite pastimes, she found great comfort in the world of literature and devoted countless hours to reading books from various genres. One of Nancy's talents was embroidery. 

Nancy's greatest joy in life came from spending time with her grandchildren. They were the light of her life, filling every day with boundless happiness and love. Each night before sleep, Nancy made sure to remind them how deeply she loved them, even if it meant sending a heartfelt text message. This exemplified the selflessness that defined Nancy as a grandmother.

Although Nancy has departed this world, she leaves behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by those who survive her. Her brother Ben Smith, sister Elizabeth DelValle, and children Patrick Robbins, Nancy Hess, Jessica Bellois will continue to honor her memory through the values she instilled in them — love, compassion, and the importance of family.

Nancy's spirit will also live on through her grandchildren: Michael, Nick, Jesse, Kara, Landon, and Kenneth. These young ones were the apple of her eye, and they will forever carry with them the profound impact of their grandmother's boundless affection and guidance.

Nancy is predeceased by her parents, S.E. Smith and Annie Smith, as well as her sister Mary Whittenbarger.

In our hearts, Nancy's presence will never fade. Her generous spirit and unending love for her family will remain an eternal source of inspiration for all who knew her. As we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate the remarkable life of a woman who brought so much joy into the lives of others.
