Natalie Schoyen Miller, 77, of Hinsdale, NH, passed away after a period of declining health on May 19, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Long Island, NY on December 24, 1943 to the late Chester and Cecilia (Uszynski) Schoyen.
Natalie met and dated Charles Miller for 5 years before they married on June 24, 1972. He will never forget their first real date where they attended the first ever Woodstock. They did not manage to get close enough to hear any music, but they had a great time together. Charles and Natalie lived with their three children in Holyoke, MA, then Springfield, MA for 14 years before they settled in Hinsdale. Natalie was a lifelong worker for Friendly's for many years, working at 4 different locations as a shift supervisor, lastly working for Friendly's in Brattleboro for 20 years before retiring.
Natalie had a passion for reading and you would often find her at the library or the local secondhand bookstores. She loved thrift shopping; nothing made her happier than a good bargain! Natalie took interest in art sculptures, stained glass, and collected crafted carved pieces from Bali. She enjoyed trips to the local dinner, sitting on her porch admiring her garden, and hanging out with family. She had a big heart for her many pets, all of whom were adopted because they need homes. Most were cats but there were also dogs, all were loved but nearest to her heart was "Onyx", a black great dane. She also had a flock of twenty ducks.
She will be most remembered for being stubborn, but equally funny and sweet and well adored by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her beloved husband Charles A. Miller of Hinsdale; sons Gregory Ross Miller of Hinsdale and Christopher A. Miller of Hinsdale; daughter Sara E. Corayer and her husband Christopher "Shadow" Corayer of Northboro, MA; brother Chester Schoyen of FL; sister Karen Whinnem of Vernon, CT; and five nieces and one nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church located at 47 Walnut Street, Brattleboro on May 29th at 12 pm. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery.
