Nathan Thomas Doty, 39, of Hooksett, N.H. passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017 after being diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in June of this year.
Nathan was born in Anchorage, AK on August 22, 1978 to Robert Doty and Rebekah (Doty) Hawxwell. He moved to Nashua at the age of seven and attended Nashua schools. He was a graduate of Nashua High School, Class of 1996, and attended Gordon College in Wenham, MA. He was most recently employed as the Leasing Manager at The Fairways in Derry.
Nathan first and foremost was a Godly family man, devoted to his wife and two beautiful children, as well as his many extended family members and friends. He loved anything outdoors including hiking, fishing, camping, canoeing, biking with his family and yardwork. He spent much of his time renovating and caring for his multi-family home in Manchester, N.H. He was also an avid Red Sox fan.
Music has always been a big part of Nathan's life, starting at summer camp at Stinson Lake in Rumney, N.H. where he played bass guitar as a staff member after years of attending as a camper. He went on to perform in a band after college in the North Shore/Boston area. Most recently, he taught his son to play guitar.
Nathan is survived by his loving wife, Nadia (Turgeon) Doty and their two children, Elliot (10) and Violet (6), all of Hooksett; his sister, Leah (Doty) Anderson, currently of Kenya, Africa; and his mother, Rebekah Hawxwell, of Merrimack, N.H. He is also survived by five nieces and a nephew, several cousins, one of whom is Jonathan Paul, who was Nathan's closest friend and like a brother, as well as several aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his father, Robert Doty.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm Friday, November 3, 2017 at Free Christian Church, 31 Elm Street, Andover, MA.
