Nelson E Brooks, Sr.

Nelson E. Brooks, Sr. died on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester. He was born on March 12, 1944 in Lynn, MA and grew up in Derry, NH.

Nelson was a 1962 graduate of Pinkerton Academy. He entered the military and served his country in the Air Force during Vietnam. The working years took him from W.T. Grants to where he eventually retired with Goodyear Tire and Sullivan Tire.

He had the pleasure of two great sons that he took hunting and fishing and was proud of the adults they became, with the love and guidance from his loving wife, Suzanne.

Nelson was the epitome of a patriot. He loved his country, serving in the military, Boy Scouts of America, and as a volunteer at the Veteran’s Home in Tilton, NH.

He was predeceased by his oldest son, Nelson Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne (Dionne) Brooks; son, Shawn Brooks; sister, Heather Letusky of Maryland; and brother, Robert of MA.

SERVICES: A Graveside Committal with Military Honors will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023, 10am, at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway in Boscawen. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
