Nelson C. Daigneau, 81, of Manchester, died August 12, 2008 at the Villa Crest Nursing Center. He was born on April 27, 1927 in Franklin, NH to Stacey and Florence (Sargent) Daigneau. He enlisted in the US Army in 1945. Mr. Daigneau was a graduate of Franklin High School. He worked for Arwood Corp. in Tilton. He was an avid sports and horse-race enthusiast, and enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He was a member of the Rimmon Club. He was predeceased by longtime friend and companion, Giselle Boutot. Survivors: Daughter, Melanie Burgin of Goffstown; sons, Mark and Brian Daigneau of Florida, and Buddy Asty; three grandchildren; brothers, Gerald and Sidney Daigneau of Laconia, sisters, Rachel Geroux of Tilton, Mary Trachy, Evelyn Sylvia and Olive Lavalley. Funeral service with military honors will be on Monday 11:30 in the Chapel of NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
