Nick's love of life did not come to an end with his death. Nick passed away on January 5, 2022 at the age of 36, with his loved ones close by. His family will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. The simplest pleasures of life brought great joy to Nick. He loved leading his Lizzie, Buckaroo, and Pumpkin Pie on adventures into the wild. His huge personality was contagious to everyone he met.
Nick is survived by his loving wife, Taber; son, Blake; daughter, Ella; beloved dog, Boomer; grandmother, Jean Whitcomb; mother, Julia Whitcomb (Kevin Cormier); sister, Abigail; Aunt Loria Ryan; in-laws, George and Kimberly Stroup; sisters in-law, Emily Stroup and Sarai Stroup (Luke Eberle); brother in-law, Ethan Stroup; Great Aunts and Uncles, cousins, friends and of course his darlins! He was predeceased by his beloved grandfather, Gary Whitcomb.
You could always find Nick with his children, whether listening to music, dancing around the house, cooking dinner, camping, fishing, driving around, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, and dirt biking. His jokes and hilarious one liners are legendary. Nick was known by all for his free spirit, contagious laugh, and heartwarming smile. He was a selfless man who loved helping friends and family regardless of what he had going on. He had a heart of gold. Nick enjoyed his career as a crane operator.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Nick will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
