Norma Vera Buote

Norma Vera Buote, 78, of Lawrence, MA died on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Merrimack Valley Hospice. She was born on October 15, 1937 in Buckinghamshire, England, where she was raised as a child before moving to the United States in the late 1940s.
Norma was an employee at Gillette prior to her retirement, even becoming a member of their bowling league. She was always known to have a lucky streak, enjoying cards, bingo, and spending time at Foxwoods with her children. She loved doing creative things in her spare time, such as knitting, cross-stitch, puzzles, and arts & crafts. An animal lover, she always had a pet dog throughout her life.
She will be most remembered for being a wonderful mother who was always there for her children. They have fond memories of family holiday dinners, where Norma was always the hostess. She loved taking Sunday drives with her family out to Salisbury beach, where they would enjoy lobster together by the ocean.
Norma is predeceased by her mother, Vera Carignan (Foreman) and her stepfather Frank Carignan, and by her husband Gerard Buote. She will be missed dearly by her children, Wendy Floyd, of Nashua, and Derek Buote of Lawrence.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the MSPCA, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. Arrangements have been entrusted with The Cremation Society of New Hampshire.
