Norma R. Madden

Norma R. Madden, 78, of 8 Ridge Road, North Swanzey died on May 31, 2001 at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene after a brief illness. Mrs. Madden was born on August 2, 1922 in Springfield, MA the daughter of the late Edward and Alice (Baldwin) Blanchard. She graduated from Keene schools. Mrs. Madden was a loving homemaker and gourmet cook. Her life centered around her family and cherished grandchildren. She worked with her husband as the secretary and manager of his business, Monadnock Septic Tank Company in North Swanzey. She was an avid fisherwoman, gardener and loved flowers. She enjoyed spending winters in Florida with her husband. Family members include; her husband of 45 years, Owen Madden; one daughter, Francie Upton Harrison of Keene; two grandsons; two sisters Gloria Castor of Swanzey and Dolly Woodbury of Spofford; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 9th at 2:00 PM at the First Congregational Church , Route 32, Swanzey Center.
