Norman Garner Henry

Norman Garner Henry, 76, well known builder/contractor and businessman in Keene, NH passed away peacefully on August 30, 2024 at The Hospice House in Concord, NH following complications from a stroke. He was the son of the late Norman Augustus Henry and Ruth Wallace Henry. 

He grew up in Arlington , MA where he attended Arlington Schools and graduated from Huntington Preparatory School. He then attended Alderson Broaddus College in Philippi, West Virginia. He became a successful sales representative for Will Ross / White Knight textiles Medical Supply Company in 70’s and 80’s. He then became a builder in VT before becoming the owner of DJM Builders in Keene, NH. He and his wife Sandra also created Uniform Plus where they serviced nearby hospitals. Norm lived in Keene, NH for 41 years with his loving wife of 54 years, Sandra Rusnak Henry.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Jason Henry of Drexell Hill, Pa and his significant other Taunia Darcangelo, and grandson Michael Henry, his son David Henry of Wells, ME and his wife Laura, their children Cailin and Logan Henry, his son, Matthew Henry of Tilton,NH and fiancee Heather Dreher and his sister Sally Henry Zagaja of Ipswich MA, brother-in-law, Ron Zagaja, and nieces Cindy Smith and Susan Smith. And his grand dogs Bella, Lola and Louie.  His family was his utmost priority. He was so proud of his three sons and three grandchildren.

He was a very social person who loved helping people. Wherever Norm went he made friends. He loved to chat with everyone. His stories will live on for decades.One of his favorite places was his camp/cottage on Square Pond in Acton, ME which became his work in progress for over 36 years.  From childhood to adulthood, he loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and skiing and recently pickleball. He loved coaching sports with his sons. He had a great love for his dogs, and grand dogs, who were so important to him. May he rest in peace.
