Norman F.H. Littlefield Sr., of Tamworth, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026, at the age of 76.

Born in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, Norman spent his life rooted in the communities and mountains of Carroll County that he loved so deeply, living out most of his life in Tamworth. A hardworking and dedicated provider, he began his career with Carroll Industries, where he worked for 18 years. He later joined International Paper, later to become Madison Lumber Mill, where he spent 36 years as a respected lumber grader. Known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and quiet determination, Norman took great pride in his work and the friendships he made throughout his career.

On October 19, 1974, Norman married the love of his life, Sheila Ann Littlefield (Sargent). Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and community, raising four sons and sharing more than fifty-one years of marriage. Following Sheila’s passing on December 24, 2025, Norman remained devoted to her memory until his own passing seven months later.

Norman found peace and joy in the beauty of New Hampshire’s mountains and wilderness. Whether spending time outdoors, Sunday drives in the mountains, enjoying the changing seasons, or simply appreciating the natural beauty around him, he felt closest to God in the places he loved most.

A devout Christian, Norman was a faithful member of the First Congregational Church of Ossipee (FCCO), where he sang on the worship team and participated in numerous church activities, outings, and fellowship events. His faith was the foundation of his life and guided the kindness, humility, and generosity he showed to others.

Norman leaves behind his sons: Rick Littlefield of Tamworth, New Hampshire; Jeff Littlefield and his wife, Dawna, of Ossipee, New Hampshire; Norman Littlefield Jr. and his wife, Angel, of Meredith, New Hampshire; and Dana Littlefield and his partner, Rhianon Swan, of Tamworth, New Hampshire. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Mercedes Cole, Jade Littlefield, Jeffrey Littlefield, Morgan Littlefield, Megan Littlefield, Trenton Littlefield, Elijah Littlefield, and Cassidy Littlefield, along with five great-grandchildren; niece Mary Lupacchino, and her husband John, of Fishers, Indiana; niece Danielle Ballentine of East Hampton, Connecticut; Laura Walls, and her husband, John, of Bellingham, Massachusetts; and Lisa Littlefield of Lowell, Massachusetts; nephew Rick Pacifici, and wife, Wanda, of Glenburn Center, Maine; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Norman was predeceased by: his parents, Orace Littlefield and Beatrice Ryan; his brother Melvin Littlefield, and his wife, Jeanetta, of Hartford, Connecticut; his sister Sandra Scoville, and her husband, Daniel, of Somerset, Kentucky; his brother Nicholas Littlefield of Tolland, Connecticut.

Norman will be remembered for his unwavering faith, dedication to his family, strong work ethic, and deep appreciation for the outdoors. His quiet strength, gentle nature, and steadfast love for those around him left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate the lives of Norman and Sheila Littlefield on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at Chocorua Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at Runnell’s Hall. Together, Norman and Sheila leave behind a legacy of love, faith, family, and service that will continue to live on through the generations they helped shape.

Though they are deeply missed, their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved them.
