Norman Valentine

Norman Valentine, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones in Manchester, New Hampshire — his cherished home for the past 30 years.

Born to Houston and Alma Valentine, Norman built a life rooted in faith, family, and service. He spent his entire professional career with the Brooklyn Union Gas Company, where he was admired for his integrity, dedication, and strong work ethic. Upon retirement, he relocated to New Hampshire, where he deepened his spiritual life and continued to be a pillar of strength in his community.

Norman was a proud and towering presence — not just in stature, but in character. He was strong in his convictions, carried a wonderful sense of humor, and lived each day with deep devotion to his church. He was a man of enduring faith who never hesitated to share his wisdom or his laughter.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ileana, and son Vance. Norman is survived by his seven children — Venus, Varone, Ravena, Jason, Nathaniel, Daniel, and Dominique — and a growing legacy of grandchildren, numbering around 20 and still counting, each of whom carries forward his warmth, resilience, and values.

His life reflected a quiet and steady trust in God, captured best by a favorite saying that guided him through all seasons of life:

“Happy moments, praise God. Difficult moments, seek God. Quiet moments, worship God. Painful moments, trust God. Every moment, thank God.”
