  • We are sad to announce the passing of Oliver “Ollie” George Cole IV on June 15, 2026, at his home in Bethlehem, NH after a courageous battle with cancer. Ollie was born October 27, 1949, in Littleton, NH, son of Oliver and Pauline Cole.

Graduating from Lisbon High School in 1967, Ollie was a talented athlete; skiing at Cannon Mountain in the Franconia Ski Club, running cross-country, and playing baseball.

Ollie served his country for 10 years in the Air Force, then attended the University of Southern Florida in Tampa, before returning home to Northern NH, working as the I.T. Director at the Mt. Washington Hotel until his retirement in 2015.

He was active in his Bethlehem community, serving as head of Bethlehem Elementary School, School Board, and Coach of his sons’ little league baseball team (Mets Champs 1992)!

Being a NH country boy, Ollie loved the outdoors! Skiing with the kids, ice climbing, fishing, and boating. An avid hiker, Ollie climbed all the Eastern peaks, Mt. Whitney, CA and was the only member of a group climb to summit Mt. Rainier in Washington. Ollie also took his wife Linda, against her better judgement, to hike the infamous Angel’s Landing Trail in Zion National Park.

He is lovingly remembered by Linda, his wife of 40 years. Son, Dan Cole, and wife Erin. Elin, his special and most beloved granddaughter (Elin racing down the slalom course always made Gramp smile). Daughter, Julia Gullotti, and husband Mike; son, Tony Funicella, and wife Anastasia; son, Tory Cole, and family; son, Peter Cole, and grandsons: Jonas and Kaidan; sister, Andrea Roy, and husband Bruce and his special nephews; Ben Roy and family and Ron Cook and family.

A graveside service will be held at Maple Street Cemetery in Bethlehem- the day and time are to be announced later.

Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH.
