Otis H. Wilder

Otis "Bud" Wilder, 88, of Hancock, NH passed away peacefully at his home on September 29, 2023 after a lengthy illness. 
Born in Peterborough, NH, his family lived in Hancock and for a short time in Longmeadow, Mass before returning to NH. He lived in Hancock his entire life except for the time spent in the National Guard and the US Army. 


Bud married Martha Harrington, also a Hancock native, in October 1961 and together they raised three daughters and owned and operated Wilder's Auto Service in Hancock for many years. 


Bud was a proud member of the Hancock Fire Department. 


He is survived by his three daughters and their spouses. Mary and Bill Wichland of Fort Myers, FL, Kathleen and Tim Kristof of Wenden, AZ and Anne Wilder and Kirk Schellinger of Antrim, NH. 


He is also survived by his sister, Rosemary Maciolek of Lee, NH, two grandsons, Erik Kristof of Twin Falls, ID and Jerome Kristof of Phoenix, AZ, his great grand-daughter, Isa Kristof of Twin Falls, ID. many cousins, nieces, and nephews and many, many dear friends. 


As per Bud's request there will be no calling hours and burial will be private. A celebration of life will be organized by his daughters and friends and will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Hilltop Christmas Tree Farm on Norway Hill in Hancock. 


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hancock Fire Department, Michael J. Fox Foundation, or the Alzheimer's Association.
