Pat Nichols, 87 of Littleton, NH passed away on Wednesday. August 15th surrounded by her family.
Pat was born in Newark, New Jersey on March 17, 1931. She resided in Kearny New Jersey and raised six children. She later moved to Ringoes, New Jersey where she was a secretary at East Amwell Elementary School until she retired.
After retirement she moved to Escondido in California to be close to her two sons and enjoy the California sun and Nevada casinos. About 10 years ago, she moved back to the east coast to Littleton NH. We wondered why leave the California sun for New Hampshire winters, but she wanted to be back home closer to family and friends.
Pat enjoyed playing cards, bingo and the casinos. She often volunteered at Littleton Senior Center. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima church. No matter where Pat went â no one was a stranger. She had the gift of gab. Sit next to her and you would become a lifetime friend â listening to countless stories of family escapades. Although she may have been pint sized â she had the biggest heart of all!
Pat is survived by 1 brother, 5 children, 3 daughter-in-laws, 2 son-in-laws, 14 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren with one on the way, many nieces and nephews and countless friends. She is preceded by the death of her parents, Edward and Helen Weisel, her sister Kay Stroebel and her son Tom Nichols.
Her life was well lived â she wanted that for all. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Littleton Senior Center, 77 Riverglen Lane, Littleton, NH 03561.
SERVICES â A Mass of Christian Rite will be held on Monday, August 20th at 11:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church with The Very Reverend Mark Dollard as Celebrant.
