Patricia A Gorman

We are saddened to announce the passing of Patricia A. Gorman of Island Pond, VT. Pat died at the age of 77 on May 10, 2024. She was at peace and surrounded by loved ones after bravely battling cancer that was discovered earlier this year. 

Pat leaves behind her partner of 44 years and love of her life Ronda Bohovich, their devoted golden retriever Jersey and her closest friend Bonnie Beaubien. Pat had many friends and acquaintances who will undoubtedly mourn her sudden loss and wish there had been time for a proper goodbye. Unfortunately, that was not to be. 

She was born to George and Norma (Ketchum) Gorman on October 19, 1946 in Laconia, NH. Growing up, she was very close to her grandmother Eva Ketchum and often said she was looking forward to their reunion in heaven, if she were allowed in! 

Pat became an English Teacher in the Manchester, NH School System at Hillside Junior High School in 1968. She later became a Reading Specialist and, after serving the youth of Manchester in many and varied positions, she retired in 2006. Pat and Ronda eventually took up residence in a log cabin on Spectacle Pond in Island Pond, VT. There she and Ronda enjoyed their gardens (especially Pat's renowned blueberries!), all manner of wildlife, long hikes and gorgeous sunsets. 

Pat is survived by her sister Sandra (Marcello) D'Amico, her nieces Sebastiana D'Amico, Arianna (Brendan Breen) D'Amico and their daughter, Pat's much loved great niece, Serafina Breen D'Amico. 

A private celebration of life will be scheduled at a future date. Anyone wishing to remember Pat may make a donation to Bear-Paw Regional Greenways.
