Patricia Ann Cate

Patricia Ann (Douglas) Cate,75, died on Wednesday, September 26, at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, in Burlington, MA. She was born on January 10, 1943, in Sudbury, MA. the daughter of the late Leonard E. and Eleanor (Cormier) Douglas.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Cate worked most of her years dedicated to care giving at private services and nursing homes, she devoted 23 years at the Moore Center Services in Manchester, those 23 years were her most favorite of her working career.
In her life, she enjoyed bowling, playing cards, games, crossword puzzles, puzzles, sewing, crocheting, cross stitching and scrap booking. Outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, gardening with her husband and friends. She loved spending time volunteering at the Audubon society with a special love for all animals.
Mrs. Cate loved spending time with her grandchildren, enjoyed seeing their games, activities and watching them grow up. She also enjoyed traveling, visiting and spending time with family and friends.
Members of her family include; her husband, James D. Cate; three children, John M. Douglas and his wife Mary; Daniel C. Handrahan, his wife Michelle and Deborah Handrahan; her 2 sisters, Marilyn Phelps and Betty Sorrenti; 2 nieces and 1 nephew; two step children, Deborah Smith and her husband Thomas, and David Cate; one granddaughter, Jessica, two grandsons, Riley Daniel Curren and Coleman Daniel; two great granddaughters, Stephanie and Madalynn; and two step grandchildren, Melanie and Sarah; several great nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 6, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the Cremation Society of NH Chapel, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester. A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester.
