Patricia Dionne

Patricia "Pat" Dionne (Birchall), 63, of Methuen, MA passed away on December 15, 2019 at High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA surrounded by loved ones.

Patricia was born on November 25, 1956 in Lawrence, MA, daughter of the late Frederick and Dorothy (Kelly) Ritter. Known for her people skills, Pat worked as a supervisor at a variety of manufacturing and technology companies. An excellent mother and provider, Pat worked a number of part time jobs through the years to provide a Catholic school education for her daughters as well as extracurricular activities such as softball, dance lessons, and ice-skating lessons. Her part time jobs also afforded the family yearly vacations.

A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Pat's family was paramount in her life. She especially cherished time with her dear grandchildren. Pat and her husband, Ed, loved travelling together. They especially enjoyed travelling to New York for the holidays and to Mexico and Ireland. For her work, she often travelled abroad to Germany, Switzerland, and Scotland. Pat was able to embrace adventure wherever the road led her. Pat In her younger years, Pat backpacked through Europe with her girlfriends, adventuring through France, Italy, Spain, and Greece. Since her youth, Pat has found great solace in the ocean. She relished annual vacations to the beach with her immediate and extended family. Pat will be best remembered for her generous heart and love of family.

She is predeceased by her brother, Charles "Skipper" Edward Birchall, III. Patricia is survived by her devoted husband, Edward D. Dionne; daughter, Katherine Merrifield and her husband Tom Merrifield; daughter, Kara Daigle and her husband Robert Daigle; grandchildren, Brody Dionne-Faria, Liam Smith, Sarah Smith, Rhoann Daigle and Cooper Merrifield; brother, Brian Birchall and wife Erin Birchall; sister, Mary Jo Haseltine and husband Dave Haseltine; sister, Kimberly Gilley and husband George Gilley; sister-in-law (wife of late brother, Charles), Sharon Birchall; step-sister, Donna Pasters and husband Joseph "Skip" Pasters; and step-brother, Frederick "Fritz" Ritter and husband Richard Griffiths and many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: Per Patricia's wishes, there will be a private Memorial Service held at the Community Center of Merrimack Valley Apartments, 20 Calumet Rd., Methuen, MA on Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 1:00PM-4:00PM.
