Patricia (Scurrah) Peters, 81, of Litchfield passed away on June 22 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack surrounded by her family.
She was born in Boston, MA on March 8, 1934 to James and Muriel (Sands) Scurrah. She was the wife of Ron Peters with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.
Patsy graduated from Jamaica Plain High and worked in banking prior to her marriage. She devoted her life to taking care of her family, making home a warm and welcoming place. She enjoyed the simple things in life, a good book, a day at the beach, bird watching from her kitchen window, spending summers at Northwood Lake, bouncing a baby on her knee and a nice cup of tea. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her kind and gentle spirit, and her sweet disposition.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by two sisters Virginia Dolan and Barbara Tumber, and her great grandchildren Maisey and Devon Hammar.
In addition to her husband, Patsy is survived by her children, Cindy Milosh and her husband Rick, Ron Peters Jr. and his wife Bonnie, Carol Peters, and Micheal Peters and his wife Sharon; her sisters Ruth Cramer, Betty Connor, Muriel Martin and Nancy Flannery; her brother James Scurrah. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Kelly Hammar, Elizabeth Demers and her husband Tim, Shannon Daniels, Julie Hammar, Kristen Milosh and Brandon Peters and seven great grandchildren, Gavin, Alex, Lyric, Samantha, Lucas, Maisey and Evie.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Cremation Society of NH, 243 Hanover St., Manchester on Monday June 29th from 10 to 11 AM with a memorial service to follow in the Cremation Society chapel at 11:00 AM.
