Patricia passed away peacefully at the Colonial-Poplin Nursing Care facility in Fremont, NH. of natural causes related to Alzheimer’s disease. Patti was the daughter of Roland and Barbara Nicoletti. Born at Fort Warren in Cheyenne, Wyoming and a lifelong resident of Berlin , NH.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years Donald, married on June 14, 1969. She had two sons: Corey Piper and his wife Kim of Sandown, NH, Eric and his wife Alicia of Lancaster, NH. Grandchildren, Devan, Jake and Sterling; sisters, Bonnie Dykeman and husband Jerry, of Orlando, FL and Barbara Francoeur and husband Steve of Tigard, OR. Patti is survived by her Aunt Doris Nicoletti, and by Sisters-In Law Dolores Piper and Husband Raymond Murphy of Manchester, Joan Piper and Husband Louis Parent of Berlin, Brother-In-Law Michael Piper and wife Helene, of Berlin, Also, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Patti and Don shared an extraordinary life together, filled with unwavering love, strength and laughter that shaped their lives and the lives of their family. Patti was as intelligent and industrious as she was beautiful and caring. As a dedicated teacher for 34 years, she influenced the lives of more than 3000 students, nurturing them as though they were her own children. She tirelessly championed their success with genuine empathy and devotion.

Beyond the classroom, her greatest joys revolved around family, enjoying holidays and countless adventures. From nearby picnics to summer outings along the beaches and rocky coast of Maine seeking and observing lighthouses and beautiful sunrises. Memorable and special were the distant trips including Italy with sister BJ, Steve and cousins Rudy and Paula. Also, unforgettable trips to France and England with Corey, Eric and their wives. Wonderful times in Florida and Myrtle Beach with Bonnie, Jerry and our kids and grandkids. Special too was the simple joy of breezy drives with the top down, which also filled our hearts with memories and joy.

Greatly missed will be Patti’s enthusiasm and passion for gardening and her flair for home improvements which brought joy to our home. Holidays, and events particularly in keeping with her heartfelt Italian traditions always carried a special touch of love, making everyone feel cherished. We will remember her for genuinely caring for everyone around her, how she was touched deeply by their needs, sorrows and triumphs alike.

“We shall thank God every time we remember you dearest Patricia. Our hearts will hold you close, and your love will guide us until we meet again.”

In her Memory, contributions can be made to the Alzheimers Association—MA and NH Chapter
