Patricia M. Smith

Patricia Murray Smith of Exeter, formerly of Bedford, NH died Sunday at the age of 90. Married for 55 years to Martin C. Smith, who predeceased her in 2007, she is survived by four children: Maureen P. Guglielmino, Martin C. Smith Jr, Kerry S. Brooks and Scott C. Smith; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and, nieces and nephews.

Born in the Bronx, NY, Pat spent most of her life on Long Island in Northport, NY and enjoyed time spent in Jamesport, NY on Peconic Bay and Naples, FL. She was regarded as a trusted confident by all who knew her and loved for her vibrant personality, her kindnesses shown and her caring ways. She worked and served as volunteer counselor at Catholic Charities in NY for many years after earning her master's degree in social work. She was also a long-time member and volunteer at Saint Elizabeth's Parish in Bedford, and a member of the Manchester Country Club.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing in bridge tournaments, and celebrating her Irish heritage at every opportunity. She was adored by her family and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt to her nieces and nephews as well as a great friend.
At the request of family, services will be private.
