Patricia Lorraine (Smith) Theriault, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Pat was born on May 17, 1937, in Nashua, New Hampshire. She graduated from Nashua High School in 1955 and later attended Nashua Business School. After raising her four children, Pat worked as a Special Education secretary at Elm Street Junior High and later held an administrative position at Nashua Wallpaper. In retirement, she was a faithful and devoted caretaker to her husband, Bob.

Pat married Robert Theriault in 1958, beginning a loving partnership that lasted 59 years. Together, they made their home in Nashua, New Hampshire, and Ogunquit, Maine, places that held many special memories for their family. Pat was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Theriault. She is survived by her children, Robert Theriault, Jr. and his wife, Linda; Debbie Kanakis and her husband, Mark; Mike Theriault; and John Theriault and his partner, Dan. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who brought her great joy and pride.

Pat was a warm and caring person with a wide circle of friends who loved her dearly. She enjoyed spending time at the beach in Ogunquit, tending to her garden, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and getting lost in a good book. With her wonderful sense of humor and love of laughter, Pat was always ready to enjoy a good time and create lasting memories with those around her. Above all, Pat will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and a loyal and cherished friend.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her love, kindness, and the memories she created with those around her will live on in their hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Pat’s memory to the Dementia Society of America.

Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Nashua. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cremation Society of NH, 26 Kinsley Street, Nashua, NH.
