Patrick Dennis Murphy Patrick Murphy, 61, of Nashua, NH, died Thursday, July 28, 2005 at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Brookline, MA from complications following a bone marrow transplant. Mr. Murphy was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba February 20, 1944, son of the late Addie (Filax) and Harry Murphy. He attended school at the University of Manitoba where he graduated with a degree in Engineering, class of 1966. Following his graduation he began working for Ingersoll Rand, Canada as a salesman. He stayed with the company for 30 years traveling extensively throughout the world. He and his family lived in Newfoundland, Vancouver, Montreal, and eventually he earned the position of vice president and general manager of IRs Impco division in Nashua, NH. He resigned when the division was sold, going on to work as a real estate agent with Innovative Realty in Nashua. Patrick was well respected and admired throughout his career. Patrick was and avid golfer and curler. He was an active member of the Nashua Country Club as well as Summerlea, in Montreal. He also enjoyed fishing, and projects around the house. As Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce (1993-1994), he actively worked to revitalize Main Street in Nashua. Patrick was husband to Sandra (Stevenson) Murphy for 35 years. In addition to her, he is survived by his two sons, Craig Murphy of Nashua and Kirk Murphy and his girlfriend, Leah Mutz of Putney, VT; his sister Linda Delaroque of Argyle, Manitoba; and a myriad of in-laws, nieces and nephews. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends for his generosity, his ability to touch those he came in contact with, his sly wit, and his incredible courage in battling his illness. A memorial service will be held at the Main Street United Methodist Church in Nashua Wednesday, August 3, 11:00.
