Paul V. Carlson

CARLSON, Paul V., residing in Nashua, NH, formerly of Milton Mills, NH, and previously Quincy, MA, passed away on February 27, 2020 at the age of 99.
He was the beloved husband of Agnes Carlson. Cherished father of Carol Carlson of Nashua, NH, the late Paula Klim and her husband Martin Klim of Winthrop, MA, and Nancy Loubier and her partner Michael Kenney of Quincy, MA. Loving grandfather of Roy and Donna Cochrane, Michelle Cochrane, Dan Klim, Kristen Klim, Rebecca and Tom Macchia, Kim Kulow, Alex and Nate Blais, and the late Jesse Loubier. He was adored by his ten great-grandchildren. He will be missed by his VFW Post 8393 family, his First Congregational Church of Wakefield family, and many, many friends, relatives and extended family members.
Paul is described by many as "a kind and honest gentlemen". He was highly respected by all that knew him. He proudly served his country and remained active in the Milton Mills V.F.W. Post 8393 until he moved to Nashua in August 2018. He was also compassionate about his church and the bond he had with his church family. He was a gifted painter and was requested by his employer to preserve the wallpaper displayed in the historic homes in Virginia, by painting the exact design. He was also a talented carpenter and built the home in which he raised his family. He was happy to share his talents by teaching anyone who showed an interest. Family was his passion. He celebrated his 74th wedding anniversary with Agnes on February 1, 2020, as she sat in her hospital bed; he still brought a smile to her face with a bouquet of roses. SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Wakefield, 2718 Wakefield Road, Wakefield, NH 03872 at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
