Paul E. Filteau passed away peacefully after a brief illness on June 18, 2021 surrounded by family. He was predeceased by his wife Marie-Anne (Lacasse) Filteau in 2016. He was born in Berlin, NH on April 28, 1928 to Edouard and Clara (Rousseau) Filteau. Paul was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, and playing cribbage. He gave joy to all whose lives he touched and will be missed.
After 22 years of service, Paul retired as a Sergeant Major with the US Army Corps of Engineers.
He is survived by his three daughters, Sue Staklinski; Elaine Friese and her husband Melvin; Donna and her husband Ray; and four grandchildren, Amber, Melanie, Jonathan, and Crystina; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Edouard and Clara Filteau: his siblings and their spouses; Henry R. Filteau and his wife Pauline; Norman J. Filteau and his wife Yvette; Laurette (Filteau) Dumas and her husband Sylvio; Jacqueline (Filteau) Bisson and her husband George; Sr. Yvonne Filteau and Bibianne (Filteau) Fredette. He was also predeceased by his son-in-law Richard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on July 21,2021 at St. Catherine's,
207 Hemlock St. in Manchester, NH.
