Paul Joseph Goneau

Warner, NH — Paul Joseph Goneau, 87, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2022 in Lebanon, NH, surrounded by his family. Paul was born in Milford, MA, to Arthur L. and Lillabelle (Tellier) Goneau. After graduation from high school, he proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard and then attended Miami University in Oxford, OH, graduating in 1962. His professional career included General Electric Corporation, Polaroid Corporation, and most recently as Deputy Executive Director, CFO, at New Hampshire Housing, from where he retired in 2011.

Paul is survived by his wife, Patricia; son, Jonathan of Seattle, WA; and daughter, Jennifer, son-in-law Gerard, and granddaughter, Mercedes, of Unity, NH. He also leaves sisters Jeanne (Goneau) Brothers of Auburndale, FL, and Adrienne (Goneau) Tobin of Rockville, MD, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Harry Goneau, of Milford, MA.

Paul’s warmth, laugh, and dashing appearance truly filled a room when he was in it. He was devoted to his family and loved piano jazz, playing his piano, and history. Paul had a contagious sense of humor and was so full of life that words can never capture the immensity of his love and his light. He will be with us always.
