Paul J. Lacourse of Pemboke, NH died Monday, January 4, 2021 at Catholic Medical Center after a period of failing health and complications from COVID-19.
He was born March 27, 1945 in Manchester, NH and grew up in Auburn, NH.
Paul was a UPS driver for 20 years, mostly delivering in Concord, NH. For many years he was involved with the Boy Scouts Pack and Troop 292 in Hooksett. After retiring, Paul was active as a Granite State Ambassador, volunteering throughout the state. For a number of years, he volunteered at the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce Beach Information Center and as a greeter at the Palace Theatre.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Robert J. and Cecile M. (Lanoie) Lacourse; his brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and June Lacourse; and nephew, Daniel Lacourse.
He is survived by his son, Bryan Lacourse; his wife, Louise Dupré; stepson, Carl McLaughlin and Ali Parese; stepdaughter, Alison and her husband Jim Sinisgallo; niece, Carol Chevrette; nephews; Steven Lacourse and Michael Lacourse; and extended family and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service will be held at a later date.

It has been six months since Paul passed - I recently found this 'bio' that Paul had written before we met, it has information that I did not know.

Born & brought up in Auburn, NH, the younger of two children, Paul was a member of the first graduating class of Manchester Memorial High School. He attended a technical school in E Orange, NJ and worked as a technician for point of sale equipment for several years. He is a veteran of the US Army Reserves. Paul retired from UPS on December 1st 2000 after over 30 years of service. While at UPS he was recognized in" USA Today" as having over 25 years of safe driving.
Paul has been a volunteer for all of his adult life. He was a youth leader for the BSA for nearly 30 years. While in the BSA he received the council's highest leader award the Silver Beaver along with many other awards. He was also a Red Cross volunteer and volunteered at Catholic Medical Center. He also was an usher at the Palace Theater in Manchester, NH.
Paul has been a Granite State Ambassador since 2002 and received their highest award in 2004 as Granite State Ambassador of the Year. As of March 2012 he has over 5,000 hours of volunteer service. For the past few years he has volunteered over 500 hours each summer for the chamber. He attributes his interest for the chamber as the perfect opportunity to assist our beach visitors while visiting our state. Promoting NH through Travel & Tourism is the mantra for GSA. In his words, "He really enjoys working for the chamber because of the friendships that he made with the employees, business community and of course the guests that he is able to assist." Along with the beach office, Paul volunteered at the Manchester/Boston Regional Airport, the Manchester Information Center, and other centers around the state. He volunteered for many special events including the Big E in West Springfield Ma.
