Paul Prunier

Paul A. Prunier, lifelong resident of Nashua and Stoddard, NH, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2023, at Concord Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. 

Born in Nashua, NH on April 25, 1943, he is the son of the late Maurice and Phylis Prunier. Paul graduated from Nashua High School in 1960 and worked in the automotive field until he joined the Army from 1963-1966, where he was the tank mechanic. During his time in the Army, he married his wife, Kathleen (Stearns) Prunier. After returning home from the military, he was an avid racer and attendant of the New England Drag Way. In 1968, Paul and Kathleen bought land and started building their home on Highland Lake, Stoddard, NH with their two sons. This home has since created great memories for generations to come. Later, in 1980, Paul bought Chuck’s Auto Repair in Nashua, NH, where he worked alongside his son, David Prunier, for the last 40 years. 

Paul loved his wife, sons, grandchildren, and family. He enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid hunter, and loved spending time on his pontoon boat at the lake with his family. He was a lifetime member of the Lone Pine Hunters Club in Hollis, NH and loved his moose hunting in Newfoundland, Canada. Paul was a jack of all trades and loved conversing with customers at the shop on just about any topic. He always offered to take customers home and pick up their cars for service. His customers loved his smile and his laughter. They also loved hearing his many stories he had to tell about his life. 

He was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Phylis Prunier; brother, Richard (Dick) Prunier; mother-in-law, Mazel Fuller Stearns; and sister-in-law, Laurie Stearns Tumpney. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Kathleen Prunier; two sons, Jon Paul Maurice Prunier of Boston, MA, and David R. and wife Judith Prunier of Amherst, NH; two grandchildren, Nicholas Prunier and fiancé Kara Tedford, and Drew and wife Beth Prunier; brother, David and wife Hazel Prunier; sister, Janet and husband Ed Leduc; two sisters-in-law, Irene Prunier and Jeanie Stearns Doris and husband Phil; brother-in-law, Timothy Stearns and wife Roni; several nieces and nieces; and cat, Ashlee.

Paul will be greatly missed by all but remembered for his smile and contagious laughter. He created a beautiful life for himself and his family.
