PAUL J. SHAW

PITTSBURG, NH -- Paul J. Shaw, 59, passed away on January 8, 2020 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Paul was born on October 22, 1960 to George "Jack" and Pauline R. Shaw in Newfields, NH. After graduating from Exeter High School in 1978, Paul went on to prep school in 1980. He then went on to Keene State College/UNH receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Engineering.

After graduation, Paul landed his first job as an Electronic Engineer for Computer Vision, kicking off a 23-year career in various engineering fields. In Paul's career, he traveled in the United States, Southeastern Asia, and Europe.

In 2000, Paul met Shelly and they wed in 2010. After leaving the engineering field in 2007, Paul opened Northern Woods Taxidermy. Paul first found his love of Pittsburg in the early 70's when he lived and worked at The Glen during the summer. Paul loved to fish and hunt with his father & brother and teaching his grandson Patrick to hunt.

Paul was predeceased by his mother, Pauline R. Shaw; grandmother, Bernadette M. Shaw; and grandfather, George J Shaw. Paul is survived by his wife, Shelly; his golden retriever, Kelsey; two stepdaughters, Samantha LePage (Mike) and Katie Beauchesne (Bryan); his father, George "Jack" Shaw Jr.; his brother, Larry Shaw; two sisters, Luanne Shaw McLane, Lisa Shaw Crow (Dan); nephew, Joshua Crow (Christine); niece, Jenna Reynolds (Todd); great nieces and nephew and grandchildren, as well as best friends, Butch, Ryan and Johnny.

A celebration of Paul's life will be held in Pittsburg on January 25th at 2:00 at the Bear Tree Metallak-Lodge. A Graveside service will be held in the spring in Newfields, NH.
