"A man who could fix everything."
Paul lived life as he wanted: a simple life with simple pleasures, living up to his home state's motto "Live free or die."
After graduating from St. Marie's High School in 1964, he joined the Navy Reserve. During the Vietnam War he was stationed in Rota Spain, serving on the USS Holland as an MT3.
In August 1968, Paul married his high school sweetheart, Celine, and began a family.
After the Navy, he continued in the electronics field. Paul loved a challenge, and changed jobs from computer repair, to motorized equipment repair, to repairing handicap equipment for Rehab Equipment in Manchester. During this job he made many friends and was well-liked by his customers.
Paul is survived by his wife Celine, of Orono, ME; daughter Michelle Roberts and husband David of Ashland, NH; son Paul J Therrien and wife Jennifer of Manchester, NH; daughter Anne McDougal of Newport, ME; and Joseph Therrien and wife Annette of Hyde Park, MA. His three grandchildren are Molly McDougal, Luke Therrien and Jonah Therrien.
Paul is now reunited with his brother, Leonard, and his parents, Marcel and Fern Therrien, in heaven.
We would like to thank Bob and friends at Tarrytown Road, Linda from Right at Home, Meals on Wheels and staff from Manchester VA, Manchester VNA, and Elliot Hospital - all which helped him remain safely independent until the end.
Paul taught us lessons, both good and bad, and for that we will always love him.
"You be good, now."
Services will be held at Phaneuf Funeral Home in Boscawen, NH on Monday, January 14th at 10AM, followed by Military Honors at the Veteran's Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
