Paula M. Perkins passed away suddenly on July 18, 2026.
She leaves behind her longtime partner, Michael Kruger, a daughter Destiny Welch (Kruger), her son-in-law, Kevin Welch, a grandson, Jaxon Welch, a sister-in-law, Michelle Kruger, and many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
Paula grew up in Manchester, NH, attending Central High School where she played basketball and other sports. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years forging an unbreakable bond with her daughter Destiny, they were each other’s best friend. She then went on to work for Hannaford grocery store in the meat department and made many friends and was a joy to work alongside. Before retiring she worked as a bus monitor for safe wheels working with children with special needs. She adored the kids she saw every day and would make the effort to do special things for them on holidays and the kids loved “miss Paula” as they called her.
She was the cool mom that all of her daughter’s friends loved. She was a mother to those who needed one, and a friend to anyone who needed one. She was very generous and the first to help someone in need. She enjoyed doing word searches and puzzles, she loved spending time with her family bringing her sassy energy everywhere she went. She enjoyed a variety of music across many genres. She loved action movies, and her favorite actor of all time was Johnny Depp.
Paula is predeceased by her mother, Joanna Perkins, her father, Paul Perkins Sr, her brother, Paul Perkins Jr, her brother, Daniel Perkins, and grandmother, Rachel Gauthier as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and great grandparents.
She had the biggest heart, and she will be deeply missed by so many. She touched so many lives in her short time on this earth, but those people are forever grateful to have known her. She will forever be loved and missed.
A memorial gathering will be held for Paula on Saturday, August 1 from 5-7PM in the East Room at the Cremation Society of NH- 243 Hanover St, Manchester, NH 03104. There will be food available to friends and family from 5-7 in the cafe of the funeral home while the gathering takes place.
