Listen to Obituary

Pauline Gisele (Vincelette) Beaulieu, 90, a devoted nurse, mother, friend, and pillar of her faith, passed away November 20, 2025. Born July 9, 1935, in Drummondville, Quebec, she proudly became a naturalized United States Citizen in 1965.

Pauline’s unwavering faith guided her life and her approach to everything she accomplished. Raised for many years in a Catholic boarding school run by nuns, Pauline was the only one of her classmates to attend mass every day! She instilled those strong values and beliefs in her family and gladly devoted much of her time to her church and community wherever she lived. She humbly served as a Eucharistic Minister bringing communion to the elderly who were shut-in, participated in De Colores, was a member of the Rivier Prayer Community, and supported her husband though his 30+year membership in the Knights of Columbus.

Nursing was her profession. Like her faith, it was a calling, not a job. Pauline’s focus was making a difference when folks were at their most vulnerable and in need. Pauline never encountered a ‘problem’ she couldn’t overcome, and as such, was highly sought after wherever she worked. Right out of nursing school in Quebec she was asked to move to Alaska to help start a new hospital. She turned it down in deference to her parents. Within a year, while completing her advanced training in the operating room, she was recruited to start an advanced surgical cardiac unit at a nearby children’s hospital. However, she emigrated to the United States with her parents and despite not speaking any English, quickly found work in her field. She learned her new language on the job and through hard work and determination.

When Pauline moved to New Hampshire from Massachusetts in the early 1960s, she found work first at St. Joseph Hospital and then at Memorial Hospital (now Southern NH Medical Center). Her intelligence, organizational and nursing skills were once again recognized as she was called upon to help start the first Intensive Care Unit at Memorial. In the late 1970s she went to work for The Courville, helping to establish and run the skilled nursing unit at their “flagship” center in Nashua. In the later part of her career, Pauline worked for the Visiting Nurse Association and retired from an office nursing position with Dr. Dennis Angellis, who became a dear friend.

Pauline’s friends have told us, when they needed help with something, or needed to find some item at the store – she was always their first call! She not only supported each one individually, but she also had the knack of connecting them with each other. To her family, all we knew was that she always found a way to keep pace with each of our lives and somehow make everything come together! Incredibly creative, she often made our clothes when we were young, sewed the banner for the Rivier Prayer group, which was maintained and used for many, many years, and was so good at cake decorating that she was hired to make wedding cakes. She created beautiful flower arrangements, macrame items, and during her years in Florida, made and sold beautiful, beaded jewelry pieces. She loved downhill skiing in the winter, camping in the summer, and maple syrup on almost everything. She was a master shopper and maintained her sense of style into her final days. Pauline’s legacy will live on in all she touched!

The family would like to extend an incredibly warm and appreciative thank you to Amedisys Hospice Care services. A shout out to Dr. Pollak, Becky, Edina, Kathy, Dee, Michele, Aimee, Colin, and everyone else who helped our mom and our family through those last weeks. We are forever grateful for the dignity, urgency, and attention you provided to ensure her peaceful passing.

Pauline is survived by her daughters Dominique and Louise, her grandchildren Bradford, Jennica, and Jessica; her great-grandchildren Ashland, Nevaeh, Aydan, Maverick and Lachlan and her fur-baby, Briana. She is pre-deceased by her husband Robert, her daughter Michele, her parents Joseph and Rose, her sons-in-law Clark and William, and her fur-babies Smokey, Fluffy, Missy, Francoise, and Dante.

A funeral mass will be held at 9am on December 4th in the Chapel of Immaculate Conception Church, 216 E Dunstable Rd., Nashua, NH followed by a burial service at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, 75 Pine Hill Ave., Nashua, NH.
