Pauline Rachel Carreau

Pauline R. Carreau, 84 passed away at Elliot Hospital on December 17, 2025, after a brief sickness. She was born in Manchester, NH, the daughter of the late Laurier and Beatrice (Montplaisir) Lavalle. She was a graduate of St. Marie’s high school, class of 1959.

Pauline was married to the late Eugene Carreau for 54 years. She was employed at GTE, Sylvania, Osfram Sylvania in Manchester, NH for more than 30 years. After her retirement she worked for Walmart for 22 years. She was a proud grandmother to Kyle, Cole, and Erika Carreau. Pauline often stated, “If I knew grandchildren were so fun I’d of had them first.”

In addition to her parents and husband Pauline was predeceased by her sisters, Prescille (Pris) Royer and Simone Biedenbach; and her brother, Andre (Andy) Lavallee.

She is survived by two sons, Michael and his wife Lorraine Carreau of Goffstown, NH; and Leo Carreau of Hampton, NH; and her brother Leo Lavallee of Greenville, NH.

There are no call hours. Burial will be at the New Hampshire State Veteran’s Cemetery at a later date.
