Pauline Gertrude (Chandonnais) German, 87, died Thursday, March 6, 2025, at her house in Littleton, NH. She was born on December 5th in Goffstown, NH, the daughter of Albert and Stella Chandonnais. She was the wife of Robert German. They were married on December 20, 1985.
Pauline was a graduate of Villa Augustina School, Class of 1956. She dedicated her career to serving others, working at the historic Mount Washington Hotel and later at Tri-County CAP Guardianship. She found joy in volunteering at Littleton Regional Hospital, offering comfort and kindness to patients and staff alike.
A devoted member of the Littleton Bible Baptist Church, Pauline found great fulfillment in faith, community, and service. Pauline loved baking and cooking, often sharing homemade treats with family, friends, and those in need. Volunteering was her greatest passion, always looking for ways to give back and make the world a better place.
She was predeceased by her sister, Gertrude Gamache. She is survived by her 5 children: Mark Haftman of Tucson, AZ, Mary Miller of Rindge, NH, Martha and her husband John of Twin Mountain, NH, Margie and her husband Michael of Pembroke, NH, and Michele Haftman of Allenstown, NH. She is also survived by her sister, Lucille Sarette of Manchester, NH, 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, beginning at 10Am at the Littleton Bible Baptist church: 94 Union Street, Littleton, NH 03561. A burial will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH at noon on Monday, March 24, 2025.
