Pauline "Paullie" Hussey, 88, passed away on Tuesday evening, June 7, 2016 at home with her loving daughters; Christie and Jaylee.
Pauline was born on Aug 1,1927 to Frank and Irene Lawrence, in Milford, NH. She moved to Portsmouth as a young girl where she lived until May of this year when she moved to Loudon.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Francis P. Hussey in 1979 and her grand-daughter, Vicki Shepard in 2005.
Her family includes her children; Kathaleen Dufton, Michael Crotto and his wife Bett Daley-Crotto, Randall Crotto, Michelle Perreault-Bennett and her husband Dave Bennett, Jaylee Cohen, Christie Hussey and Paul Hussey, her grandchildren: John Ovadek III, Jennifer Philbrick, Ericka Dufton, Christina Dufton, Josh Dufton, Faye Grogan, Rebecca Crotto, Michael Daley-Crotto, Heather Madore, Chris Daley, Shawn Crotto, Ernie Sullivan, Patrick Sullivan, Nicole Sullivan, Travis Cohen, Matt Cohen, Siobhan Hussey, Mya Laughton, Drew Hussey and Erin Hussey, and her 19 great grandchildren and her sister, Nancy O'Brien, and several nieces and nephews.
Her greatest accomplishments were her children, their children and their children. Pauline was also known fondly as Mema, Meems, and Mimi. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and enjoying life.
Pauline was an avid reader, and bargain shopper. She loved going out to eat, walking on the beach, and creating photo albums and collages of her family. She was an independent and strong woman from an early age. Pauline held many jobs in her teens even as a welder during World War II at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. She faced many challenges in her life which she overcame, persevered, and remained optimistic. She was spiritual and taught many of her grandchildren to pray.
There will be no services or calling hours. A celebration of her life will be held in the future.
