Pauline Marie Cote Losey

Pauline Marie Cote Losey passed away Thursday evening, November 16, 2000 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. The daughter of Marcel Cote and Jeannine (Roy) Fortier, she was born April 22, 1959 in Manchester where she had worked and resided most of her life. In January 1997 she moved to Chichester, NH where she married Harold Losey, Jr. in May 1999, and cherished life and her rural surroundings until her passing. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her father of North Myrtle Beach, SC, two godchildren, Brandon and Lindsey Mills of Dunbarton, NH, and a wonderful group of close friends and extended family who gave her great comfort and enjoyment. Pauline worked for the law firm of Devine, Millimet, and Branch for seventeen years as a librarian, secretary, and later as a real estate legal assistant. Early in her career, she also attended school evenings and weekends, graduating with an associates degree from Hesser College. She made a career change in 1994, assisting with the formation of Manchester Neighborhood Housing Services and serving as program director and briefly as interim executive director. In 1996 she returned to the work she loved most, forming Bear Hill Title Services, and serving as an independent real estate title abstractor for law firms around the state. An active and tireless volunteer, Pauline served for many years as a board member and officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Manchester, a board member of the Manchester Community Enterprise Zone, and in Chichester as an alternate to the planning board and a Trustee of Trust Funds. She will be sorely missed by friends, family, and the communities she served and loved. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Big Brothers Big Sisters organizations of local choice or to the Red Cross Blood Center. There will be no wake . A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2000 at 7:00 PM at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire Chapel, an affiliate of Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester.
