Pauline McCarthy of Loudon, New Hampshire, peacefully passed away on October 5, 2026, after a courageous battle with declining health. She faced her health challenges with dignity, grace, and unwavering strength throughout her journey.

Pauline was born on June 19th 1946 in Lowell, Massachusetts, to her loving parents, Armand and Claire Ninteau.

Pauline was 1 of 9 siblings. Peter, Jeanne, Dolores, Lucille, Dennis, Theresa, Richard and David.

Pauline married the love of her life Maurice McCarthy in 1965 embracing his two sons Steven and Brian as her own before starting a family of their own Susan, Sharon and Scott.

Referred to as Memere by friends and family, she is known for her contagious laugh and ability to light up any room. Memere made everyone feel loved and welcomed with open arms.

Memere enjoyed making everyone smile especially her grandchildren. Memere was very hands on with her grandchildren, having all of her children & grandchildren attend the Concord Christmas parade and then taking all of the grandkids for the weekend giving her children a kids free weekend. During this time, she’d take all of the grandchildren to see the newest Harry Potter movie. These were some of our fondest memories growing up.

Pauline's legacy lives on through her family. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon McCarthy-Wheeler and her husband Roger Wheeler; and her sons Scott McCarthy; and Steven Kane-McCarthy and his husband Michael Kane-McCarthy. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Amy Wheeler and her husband Eric Wheeler, Kyrie McCarthy, Devin Boudreau, Maureen Fitzgerald and her husband David Fitzgerald, Brandon McCarthy, and Alyssa McCarthy. She was predeceased by her parents, Armand and Claire Ninteau; her husband, Maurice McCarthy; her siblings Armand and Jeanne, her step son Brian and her grandson, Shawn McCarthy.
