Pauline D. Underwood

Pauline ''Polly'' Underwood, 78, of Pembroke died on September 16, 2002 at Hospice House in Concord after a brief bout with cancer. Ms. Underwood was born on February 18, 1924 in Kalamazoo, Michigan daughter of the late Hugh and Marion (Potter) Underwood. She spent 25 years working as an executive director with the Girl Scouts in Los Angeles, CA, Detroit, Michigan and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She retired in 1988 and moved to Pembroke where she lived with her close friend, Helen Oldfield for 20 years. She was an active member of the Congregational Church of Pembroke. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 20th at 10:30 AM at the Congregational Church of Pembroke located at 301 Pembroke Street.
