Peter E. Grassi, 76, of Hampton, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020.
He was born in Methuen, MA on June 21, 1944, the son of the late Peter and Florence (Trussell) Grassi. He was raised in Methuen, MA and worked for many years at Bolton Emerson and then later worked as a quality control manager for AACC in Lawrence, MA. He and his family moved to Berwick, ME in 1998 and lived there for several years enjoying "the way life should be." After retiring, he returned closer to home moving to Salem, NH where he made several close friends at Kensington Place. He finally moved to Hampton, NH in 2017 to be closer to his loving daughter, Carrie. He and his wife Elizabeth enjoyed beautiful views of the ocean for his final years.
Peter was a devoted husband and a kind and caring soul who loved his family and enjoyed talking to them often, when visiting wasn't possible. Throughout his life he enjoyed admiring and working on cars, playing golf, riding his Harley, spending time with his wife, watching every Red Sox game and taking walks outside. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 53 years, Elizabeth (Jarosky). He will be missed deeply by his adoring daughter, Carrie Grassi and her husband James Cieslik of Hampton; his siblings, Joseph Grassi and late wife Connie, Michael Grassi and wife Peg, Carolyn and her husband Sidney Harris; mother-in-law, Lillian Jarosky; along with several nieces, nephews and their children. He was predeceased by his son, Peter J. Grassi in 2002 who he missed greatly.
A special thanks to the crew at Constellations Hospice, their support was greatly appreciated.
