Philip James Prevete

Philip J. Prevete, age 62, died after a brief illness on September 2, 2010 at the VA Hospital in White River Junction, VT. He was born November 29, 1947 in Jersey City, NJ, a son of James and Irene (Bonacuso) Prevete. His youth was spent in Brooklyn, NY where he graduated from High School and went on to two years of college. He served in the US Army from 1967 through 1970; most of that time was served in Vietnam. He was employed an Anheuser Busch for 17 years and later worked at Hitchner Manufacturing. Philip resided in Bethlehem, NH for the last 10 years with his wife Jean M. (Guilmette) Prevete. He was an avid sports fan of the NY Yankees, he loved to cook and get together with family. Phil was a loving husband and a devoted step father. Family members include: Jean, his wife of 25 years, 2 stepsons: Leonard Gonthier, III, Paul Gonthier; 2 stepdaughters: Lorie Mullins, Susan Gonthier; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 12noon in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Bethlehem, NH Fire Department at: Bethlehem Emergency Services, P.O. Box 424, Bethlehem, NH 03574.
