Philip L. Weatherbee, 69, of Loudon, NH, passed away unexpectedly on August 16, 2024.
Philip was born in Concord, NH on February 9, 1955, to Charles and Ida (Hammill) Weatherbee and graduated from Concord High School. He drove for Main Street Taxi for nearly two decades and lived in the Concord area all his life until moving to Loudon in 2007 with his partner, Trisha Bastian.
Philip was an incredibly hard worker, always saving for a “rainy day” or to fund the next vacation. He loved the beach and deeply enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Phil was always willing to do anything for anyone, especially if it would make them laugh. He possessed quite a mischievous streak and particularly liked jumping out from carefully chosen hiding places to scare his friends and family, which always resulted in maniacal laughter for him. He found joy in long car rides and scratch tickets, and he was an avid fan of all Boston sports, as well as local sports right down to the little league level. Philip was also an accomplished athlete himself during his school years.
Philip is survived by his daughter, daughter Amber Weatherbee; his partner of 23 years, Trisha Bastian of Loudon and her children, Cassandra Winter and partner Sean Martin of Laconia, Aarron Winter and wife June of Meriden, CT, and Dustin Winter of Belmont; stepdaughter Amy Pettengill of Raymond; sister Marsha Mahoney of Maine; brother James Weatherbee and wife Beverly of Concord; sister Karen Sharpe and husband Robert of Hancock; brother Donald Weatherbee and wife Judith of Concord; and grandchildren Domello, Isabella, Javian, Zayden, Selena, Malahkai, Milliahni, and Ada. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his nephews, Robert Grimes, Brian Grimes, and Matthew Grimes.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life to be held at the VFW Post 1631, 6 Court Street in Concord 12-4pm on Saturday, September 14th. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire online at https://www.nhyouth.org/. Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium is assisting the family with arrangements. To view an online memorial, leave a message of condolence, or for more information please visit https://phaneuf.net/.
