Phillip Landry, 84, of Dalton died early Thursday morning, August 26, 2004 at Harris Hill Center in Concord following a lengthy illness. Mr. Landry was born on January 11, 1920 in Dalton the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Pelotte) Landry. He remained a lifelong resident of Dalton except for the 4.5 years he spent in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He was employed as millwright for 45 years by Gilman Paper Company and Georgia Pacific Corp. in Gilman, Vermont. After retiring from the paper industry, he worked as groundskeeper at Lancaster Fairgrounds. Mr. Landry was a member of the VFW in Lancaster and American Legion in Pembroke. Family members include; his wife of nearly 60 years, Olivine (Maurais) Landry; a so, COL. Robert Landry, USA Ret., of Laconia; a daughter, Linda Beaudoin of Pembroke; a sister, Emily Matthew of Dalton; 2 grandchildren, Josh Landry of Gilmanton and Amanda Beaudoin of Pembroke; and 2 great grandchildren, Ramsey and Alexander of Gilmanton. There are no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 4th at 10:00 AM at St. Mathews Catholic Church in Whitefield with interment to follow at the Cushman Cemetery in Dalton.
