Philip T. VanBuskirk, 79, of Seabrook, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025 with loved ones by his side.
Born on April 2, 1946, in Newton, Massachusetts, to Raymond and Pearl (Turner) VanBuskirk, Phil was a proud New Englander through and through. A lifelong learner and devoted community member, he was active in the Boy Scouts of America and the National Field Archery Association. He graduated from Newton High School and went on to earn an Associate of Science degree from Newton Junior College.
Phil was a man of simple pleasures and strong convictions. He believed in staying humble, cooking from the heart, and that Wegman’s was, without question, the best grocery store around. He found joy in gathering friends and family around the dinner table, sharing laughter, stories, and second helpings. A loyal fan of both the Red Sox and the Patriots, Phil cheered on his teams faithfully—no matter the scoreboard.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Paula, whom he always called the love of his life. He also leaves behind his three children—Kirstin, Erika, and Kyle—as well as three cherished grandchildren: McKenna, Clark, and Callen.
Phil will be remembered for his unwavering spirit, sharp wit, and a sense of humor that could toe the line in all the best ways. His presence, laughter, and loving stubbornness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
