A light went out in the world when Phyllis (Mikel) Grannan, (nee Kent), of 2 Freedom Circle, in Portsmouth, NH, 83 years young, formerly of Watertown, MA, went home to be with her Savior, Our Lord Jesus Christ, on May 30th, 2018. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Michael's Church in Exeter, NH at 9:30 am and at Great Island Commons, in New Castle, NH at noon on Saturday August 18, 2018.
In addition to her three sons, Rick, Joe, and Greg, she leaves behind an enormous extended family which consists of nearly everyone who met her. She was the kind of spirit that once you met her, and you both got to know one another just a little bit, you happily became another member of her large extended family. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews are all happy that she attracted so many new additions to our extended family as well. We welcome them as she did. All of us will miss her deeply, but we will smile and joyfully remember all that she did, all that she was, and all of the experiences we were able to share with her, and one another, because she enriched all of our lives.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her name, honor, and memory to one of her favorite charities, the SPCA, the Wounded Warriors Project, or the New Castle, NH Fire Department.
