Phyllis Berry Webber, 81, of Nashua, formerly of Winchester, Massachusetts, died May 24, 2005 at Greenbriar Terrace with family present. She was born on December 19, 1923 in Cambridge, MA, the daughter of the late Frank Conant Berry and June Carol Evans both of Somerville, MA. Mrs. Webber attended the Kents Hill Preparatory School in Maine and later graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University where she studied Business Administration. She was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Eastern Star, Windemere Chapter. From 1974 until 1987, Phyllis was the Registrar of the Fletcher School at Tufts University. She was very active in her retirement, and served in the Nashua community, by volunteering at the RISE program of Rivier College and tutoring at the Bicentennial Elementary School. She also served for 19 years on the Board of Directors of Ternbury Square. She had a lifelong passion for education and continued to take college classes and study classical piano until her recent illness prevented her from continuing. She is survived by her son Jonathan A. Webber of Sandy, Utah; her daughter, Marki Webber of Venice, Florida and Newfane, Vermont; and three grandchildren, Tawna Webber of Ft. Collins, CO, and Chelsea and Stephen Webber of Sandy, Utah. Her son Matthew Evans Webber predeceased her in 1985. There will be a Memorial Service to celebrate her life on Saturday, June 4th at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of the Unitarian Church on 58 Lowell Street in Nashua.
