Priscilla “Pat” Elaine (Ramsdell) Burley, 79, of 4A Clement Street, Somersworth, died peacefully surrounded by her family on December 17, 2005 at Sunbridge Health Care in Rochester after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on July 26, 1926 in Rochester, she was the daughter of Terasa Ramsdell Powell. She worked at Wentworth Douglas Hospital for 21 years, retiring in 1991. She loved going to the beach and all the adventures she went on with her best friend and partner in fun, Paula Woolson. She enjoyed working with her late husband train their race horses. Pat always saw the good in people, especially in children. Her favorite phrase was “All children are precious in my eyes”. Those who knew her called her Mimi. Family members include her late husband, Norman E. Burley who died in 1995; two daughters, Carolyn R. Kidney of Somersworth and Deborah Ann Murphy and her fiancé Marv Hardin both of Somersworth; two granddaughters, Lynne A. Hebert-Bennett of Barrington and Jill Elaine Kidney of Somersworth; and a great grandson, Noah Bennett of Barrington. In honoring her wishes, there will be no calling hours. Donations may be made to Seacoast Hospice, who guidance and support assisted the family in this journey. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements.
